Tu b'Shevat Shabbos/Sunday Morning Program - January 20th, 2019 (9:00 AM )

B’nai Torah is pleased to announce an enhanced Tu Bishvat weekend, January 19 - 20, 2019.  The weekend celebrations include:

  • Enhanced davening Shabbat morning in the Main Sanctuary.
  • A special Tu Bishvat drasha from Rabbi Milevsky, followed by:
  • A Congregational Kiddush in the Sam Ferman Hall, to celebrate Tu Bishvat.  
  • An enhanced Seudah Shlisheet for men and women in the Sam Ferman Hall.  Rabbi Milevsky will speak.  
  • Shacharit, Sunday morning 8:00 a.m. in the Main Sanctuary
  • Breakfast program Sunday morning, 9:00 a.m., following Shacharit, in conjunction with Mizrachi Canada, in the Sam Ferman Hall; Couvert $5/pp for shul members, $10/pp for non-members.  Entrance for sponsors is included in the sponsorship. 
  • Rabbi Eitan Aviner will speak on the topic "Tu Bishvat - An Anomaly of the Calendar?"

Our Tu Bishvat programs are sponsored by:

  • Mizrachi Canada,  in support of their 70 for 70 Sifrei Torah Project.
  • “Friends of David and Dina Brothman” as a tribute to the Brothmans’ upcoming Aliyah to Israel.
  • Jerry and Dina Adler, honouring the upcoming wedding of Benjamin Adler to Cecilia Cohn in Jerusalem.
  • Andrea Stern and Isaac Singer, to commemorate the yahrzeit of Andrea’s mother, Esther Laika Bat Yale.
